An island archipelago on the magnificent Nile. Secluded bandas, family cottages, dormitories and camping areas tucked under canopies of rain forest. Sunlit beaches, dappled lawns, comfortable open air lounges on the hill top and a spacious relaxing restaurant. The Nile flows in shallow eddies, between the islands, creating natural pools for swimming, volleyball and is also a sort after spot for sports fishermen and bird watchers from all over the world.
With new ownership as of June 2010, shower and toilet facilities are being upgraded to provide for your every comfort and privacy.
On arrival leave vehicles at the landing dock where they will be cared for by our askari, strike the gong and your boatman will arrive to ferry you across to the Hairy Lemon in a traditional canoe.
Whilst staying at our island three meals are inclusive and a cash bar is in operation providing water, soft drinks, fruit juices, beers, snacks and more. Due to the secluded nature of the Hairy Lemon, booking in advance is essential and we regret that we cannot cater for day visitors.
